Farm Heroes Saga is an adorable match-three game. In it, you match three or more brightly colored 'cropsies' (cute fruit and vegetable creatures). If it looks familiar, that's because it's from the same makers of Candy Crush Saga.

Successfully completing a level earns you beans, which you can use to get extra level power-ups. How well you do in each level determines how many beans you receive at the end of the level. (One star earning you the minimum, and three stars earning you the maximum).

I recommend not spending all your beans at once, however, as they come in especially handy when you go to face the boss - an angry raccoon hellbent on polluting the place... I think.

Power-ups are not just determined by beans. The types of power-ups depend on which animal friends you accumulate. Again, these friends are dependent on how well you do in each level. You can rotate through these helpful creatures as needed as you climb through the levels.

Any extra moves you have left at the end of a level can be used to boost your star rating by going into 'Hero Mode'. This is an interesting way to earn extra points and beans, as similar games will usually use your extra moves for you.

If you're stuck on a level, there are lots of non bean-related power-ups that you can use - as long as you're willing to pay.

The gameplay isn't particularly hard or inspiring, and the storyline is pretty much non-existant. However, if you're a fan of casual games and match-threes in particular, you're bound to enjoy Farm Heroes Saga.

Pros:

Easy to learn

Cute and colorful graphics

Addictive gameplay

Family-friendly

Cons:

Higher levels are hard to beat without connecting to FB or paying cash.

Repetitive soundtrack becomes annoying
